Global Impact Missions
Harvest Apostolic Church is passionate about fullfilling the Great Commission of taking the Gospel of Jesus Christ to our city, our nation and beyond. We acknowledge that Acts 1:8 carries a three-fold responsibility for us to be involved in taking the Gospel simultaneously to our community, our region and nation, and to the nations of the world.
While we recognize that the whole world needs the Gospel, we also recognize that God has and will assign particular fields to us for our special focus- 2 Corinthians 10:13
We seek to partner with individuals and organizations that share our vision and our values.
Local Missions includes providing training and opportunity for our congregation to be involved in sharing their faith with their friends and family. We host regular events specially designed for those who don’t regularly attend church. We also invite guest ministry such as Excel Ministries and the Revolution Tour youth outreach.
National Missions is primarily outworked by partnering with the ACTS Churches of NZ supporting church planting and other National Leadership initiatives.
A key part of our International Mission is partnering with Harvest Apostolic Ministries in India. This includes short term missions trips to India, prayer support, linking other NZ churches to the missions field and an annual Global Impact Missions offering.
Harvest Apostolic Ministries is involved in training church planters and currently is planting churches in Chennai, Andhra Pradesh and in the North Indian state of Bihar. In Bihar they have also established 4 English medium primary schools to serve the huge education need. As part of a larger group of mission agencies strategy Harvest undertook the huge challenge of planting a church or establishing a Christian worker in 100 previously unreached postal code areas in the 10 year period up to the end of 2010. While not completing this task within the 10 year period Harvest has made amazing progress, establishing churches in more than 60 previously unreached areas and is continuing to reaching into more areas.
